For more than 20 years, our firm has provided dedicated, skilled representation to family law clients in Nashville and throughout Middle Tennessee. It has always been important to us that our clients know they can find an experienced attorney to help them, no matter when they contact us. That is why we are thrilled to announce that Karla C. Miller and Associates, PLLC has become Miller Upshaw Family Law, PLLC.
Our commitment to you has not changed
We are still the “boutique” law firm you know us to be, offering practical guidance and competent counsel for everything from alternative dispute resolution to aggressive litigation. We will remain smaller in size, so that we can maintain our relationships with every client we have. Stella is still here, offering comfort and support to anyone who needs it.
In short, we are the same firm we have always been. You can still rely on us to offer a personalized, one-on-one approach to your case, and to fight for your future and your goals. We are proud to have both firm founder Karla Miller’s and attorney Rachel Upshaw’s names on our door, and excited to see what the future brings.
Who are Miller and Upshaw?
Karla C. Miller built this firm with a small on-site staff more than 20 years ago. She is an award-winning Nashville family law and divorce attorney who is consistently honored for her commitment to client satisfaction from multiple objective ratings services, but she also serves her community by being active in a number of non-profit organizations. Her pro bono work on behalf of service members who are returning to their civilian jobs after deployment oversees has been recognized by the Military Officers Association of America and the U.S. Department of Defense “Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve” Committee. Karla also serves on the Board of Tennessee Citizen Action, Tennessee’s premier consumer rights advocacy group.
Rachel S. Upshaw fights tirelessly on behalf of families throughout Middle Tennessee. Since joining our firm in 2008, she has been honored with multiple awards highlighting her skills. She has worked with the legal community as well as with the nonprofit organization ZERO TO THREE to advocate for better access to quality pediatric and child care, as well as more flexibility for maternity leave.
