Our current Employee of the Month is near and dear to all of our hearts here at Miller Upshaw Family Law, PLLC. If you’ve ever visited our offices, you’ve probably met her. She provides the utmost in customer care, never misses a day of work, and many of our clients ask for her by name. Everyone recognizes her by her trademark bow and she loves a good snack. We’re not too proud to say that she’s probably the most popular member of our legal team.
It’s Stella Miller! Stella is our 11-year-old Labradoodle and Customer Service Representative. She comes to work every day without fail with her mom, Karla Miller, and dad, personal injury attorney Phillip Miller, to give clients that extra support that her human co-workers just can’t provide. Whether it’s a boost of confidence and a snuggle before a big meeting, or if an anxious client needs a temporary buddy, Stella is always there with a wagging tail and some love for everyone.
She never goes anywhere without her trademark bow, and loves to show it off while walking around East Park, or traveling to New Orleans and Center Hill Lake with her humans. In her free time, Stella enjoys spending time with her boyfriend Miles Davis, Nashville Paw Magazine’s Cover Dog of the Year in 2016! Now they’re a true power couple.
Stella is currently looking to expand her project management skills and hopes to one day open her own doggie law school. Of course, the team at Miller Upshaw Family Law supports her in every future endeavor and will continue giving her snacks and belly rubs for being a Very Good Girl.

Karla C. Miller has devoted her entire career to the practice of family law in Tennessee. She attended Auburn University and Nashville School of Law, and upon graduation in 1996, she opened her own law firm and has been assisting families throughout Tennessee since then.
